Mr. X Movie Review:
Emraan Hashmi (Mr. X) is watchable and
engaging but shows spark in fractions. It has a frozen story in place, but the
sharp twists fail to keep the consistency of the drama. Though, what works in
this movie is its intention to deliver somewhat different. The idea of an
invisible vigilante hero was done best in the Anil Kapoor starrer Mr. India.
Vikram Bhatt take on the same character and Indianises the story with an part
of spunk. During times of staple commercial movies, his film has a unique
thinking at the back it. It’s USP is the randomness of Siya's character that
keeps the story tight. The increase for the high point is fascinating and it
latches your attention. Other than the story of an aggrieved cop fails to collect
unanimous connect because it never soars on top of being a single man's desire
to take revenge. The movie's science-fiction value, too, is not at all fully
explored. What chemicals cause Raghu's skin to burn so dramatically? What is
the magic potion that regenerates his cells from scratch? The riddle behind
what went into Raghu's alteration into Mr X remains unanswered. Mr X, though,
attempts to bring a heartfelt sincerity to his character. He divides a warm
chemistry with Amyra, who has many better screen presence since her last movie
Issaq.
